Mortgage blogging is part of new school marketing while the yellow pages, tv, radio, newspaper are considered old school marketing. Today’s consumer is using the internet to look for mortgages.

One great way to get found is through mortgage blogging. When someone is searching for a mortgage on the web, they will typically type in their city and a mortgage related phrase next to it. An example would be Atlanta mortgage lender. Other examples of local searches include, Atlanta FHA mortgage, Atlanta loan officer.

As you can see, there are millions of these mortgage related searches. What’s great about having a mortgage blog is that you can get found for as many different keyword phrases as you want simply by writing blog posts whereas a website, you’re usually limited.

Consumers are looking for information on the web before making a decision on whom to go with. The more quality content you can provide, the better chance you have of capturing their business.

With a mortgage blog, you are able to continually update with fresh content as often as you like and do it immediately. If there’s important mortgage information, you can bring that information to the public and get found on the web for it.

Videos

Have a library of videos for mortgage prospects. Embed videos on different topics to attract and capture prospects. Videos are a great platform to use to market yourself.

Differentiate yourself

Having a mortgage blog with great content and is great way to differentiate yourself. Very few loan officers have a blog. Not only can you get a jump start on your competition but you can also get found locally.
